I'm Vishal George, founder and Chief Behavioural Scientist at Behavioural by Design.
For the past six years, I've had the privilege of training over 700 humans around the world in applying behavioural design tools—200+ people across financial technology companies, consultancies, and nonprofits globally—and 500+ across our public sector in Aotearoa New Zealand.
But results from one tiny experiment changed everything ...
Training ChatGPT with the same behavioural design tools I teach humans, my experiment revealed an unexpected truth:
AI had “officially” become better at behavioural science than me 😱 It asked better questions, generated more creative ideas and designed better experiments than me.
So I reached out to a super smart friend, Michael Kuhinica (Human-Centred Technologist) to understand what just happened. Here’s what I learned:
There’s a subtle difference between holding the knowledge and knowing how to access it.
ChatGPT feels like it knows everything — because it’s trained on (almost) everything.
But to unlock the right knowledge, you still need to know what to add to your prompt and what you don’t.
Prompting AI to think like a (behavioural) scientist
I’ve tested hundreds of prompts on AI chatbots i.e. ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, Microsoft Copilot etc. — and distilled all my best prompts into one resource: AI Playbook for Behaviour Change.
Some of you attended our AI course on Maven and may be wondering: “Can I refer back to the library of prompts from the course?” Others have got my new digital product launch Thinking Fast & Wise with AI and may be wondering the same.
Yes! I’m very grateful you chose to learn AI with me — this resource is my gift to you. You’ll get 1-year FREE access to my entire prompt library, plus a new AI Playbook that I will write and share every two months.
✅ To access these resources on Substack, use the same email you signed up with on Maven or Gumroad. I’ll upgrade you to an annual paid subscription shortly—no action needed, but let me know if it doesn’t happen within 48 hours.
And, some may be wondering: “Can I access a library of prompts quickly without joining your next AI course?”
✅ To access these resources on Substack, you’ll need a monthly or annual paid subscription. Your support 🙏🏾 helps me keep researching, thinking, and writing everything I learn for you.
Here’s my library of prompts to get started:

May your prompts lead you to ask better questions, find deeper insights, and create a positive impact on the wellbeing of people and planet.
